Quark Balls

Ingredients

  • 2 cups (270g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup (250g) low-fat quark
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup (100g) sugar
  • 1/2 packet baking powder
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • Additionally:
  • Oil for frying
  • (Cinnamon) sugar for coating

Instructions

    Mix together the eggs, sugar, vanilla sugar, and salt. Add the quark and mix briefly. Finally, add the flour and baking powder, and mix everything well. Heat oil in a pot. The oil is hot enough when small bubbles rise on a wooden spoon inserted into it. Using a tablespoon or an ice cream scoop, scoop portions of the dough and fry them for about 5-7 minutes. Then, drain them on kitchen paper and coat them in sugar. Enjoy your Quark Balls!
