Delicious Apple Cake
Ingredients
- 3 apples
- 1/2 cup (125g) softened butter
- 3/4 cup (150g) sugar
- 1 packet vanilla sugar
- Pinch of salt
- Grated lemon zest
- 3 eggs (size M)
- 1 2/3 cups (200g) all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 2-3 tbsp apricot jam
Instructions
Peel the apples and slice them thinly. Cream together the softened butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, lemon zest, and salt. Then thoroughly mix in the eggs. Combine the flour and baking powder, then fold them into the egg mixture. Line a baking pan with parchment paper. Pour the batter into the pan and smooth it out. Arrange the apple slices on top of the batter. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) for about 30-40 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Warm the apricot jam in a saucepan, then carefully brush it over the still-warm cake. Allow the cake to cool, then enjoy!
