Hazelnut Dream Cake
Ingredients
- 4 eggs (at room temperature)
- 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons (250g) sugar
- Vanilla extract
- A pinch of cinnamon
- 1 2/3 cups (400ml) heavy cream
- 1 packet baking powder
- 1/2 cup (50g) chopped hazelnuts
- 1 cup (100g) ground hazelnuts
- 2 1/2 cups (300g) all-purpose flour
- Additional:
- Light hazelnut cream
- Chopped hazelnuts
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 340°F (170°C).
- In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs with sugar until creamy.
- Add a few drops of vanilla extract and a pinch of cinnamon to the mixture.
- Pour in the heavy cream and continue mixing.
- Gradually add the baking powder, chopped hazelnuts, ground hazelnuts, and flour. Mix until well combined.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking pan.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Once baked, let the cake cool.
- Spread a layer of light hazelnut cream on top and sprinkle with chopped hazelnuts for garnish.
- Slice and enjoy your quick hazelnut cake!
