Chocolate Spritz Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 cup (250g) softened butter
- 1 cup (120g) powdered sugar
- 2 eggs
- ¼ cup (60ml) oil
- 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 ¾ cups (350g) all-purpose flour
- 1 packet vanilla sugar
- For decoration: white chocolate, pistachios
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 320°F (160°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Pour in the oil and mix until well combined.
- Sift in the cocoa powder, baking powder, and flour. Mix until a smooth dough forms.
- Transfer the dough into a piping bag fitted with a star tip.
- Pipe the dough onto the prepared baking sheets in your desired shapes. You can make spirals, stars, or any other shapes you like.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cookies are set and slightly firm to the touch.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once cooled, melt the white chocolate and drizzle it over the cookies. Sprinkle with chopped pistachios for extra flavor and decoration.
- Let the chocolate set before serving or storing the cookies in an airtight container.
