Ingredients

  • 2 medium eggs
  • 1 cup (200g) sugar
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) oil
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) lukewarm milk
  • 3/4 cup (170g) sour cream (or yogurt)
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 1 2/3 cups (210g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup (60g) cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/3 cup (50g) chocolate chips

Instructions

Whisk together the eggs, sugar, and vanilla sugar. Then, add the milk and oil, and briefly mix. Add the sour cream and mix briefly again. Next, add the flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder, and mix briefly with the whisk. (If you like, you can now fold in 1/2 cup (100g) of chocolate chips into the batter using a spatula.)

Fill the batter into 12 muffin liners. Sprinkle a few chocolate chips over the batter. Bake the muffins in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) for about 20 minutes. Please do a toothpick test. Depending on your oven, it might take a little longer. Enjoy your delicious chocolate muffins!
