Here’s a beloved recipe loved by my boys! Today, we whipped up some Quark Balls – a quick and easy delight. These treats are a hit with my kids; they disappear in no time! I usually pair them with some yummy vanilla sauce and ice cream. Now, let’s dive into making these delicious Quark Balls!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups (250 grams) all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup (250 grams) quark (or cream cheese)
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup (125 grams) sugar
  • 1/2 packet baking powder
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 2 eggs

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together the flour, quark, salt, sugar, baking powder, vanilla sugar, and eggs until well combined.
  2. Transfer the mixture into a piping bag or a plastic bag and cut a small hole in one corner.
  3. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  4. Squeeze small balls of dough directly into the hot oil. They'll puff up as they fry.
  5. Fry until golden brown, then remove and drain on paper towels.
  6. Serve warm with vanilla sauce and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Enjoy your delightful Quark Balls!
