Nutella Dream Bars


  • For the Dough:
  • 1/2 cup (120g) softened butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup (120g) sugar
  • 2 1/2 cups (300g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • For the Filling:
  • 2 cups (400g) ground hazelnuts
  • 1 cup (100g) chopped hazelnuts
  • 1 cup (180g) sugar
  • 1 cup (200g) melted butter
  • 1/4 cup (50ml) milk
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • Additionally:
  • Nutella for spreading
  • Chocolate coating for decoration
  • Baking Time:
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) using the upper and lower heat function for approximately 20 minutes.


For the Dough:

  1. In a bowl, cream together softened butter, eggs, and sugar.
  2. Gradually add flour and baking powder, mixing until a smooth dough forms.

For the Filling:

  1. Combine ground hazelnuts, chopped hazelnuts, sugar, melted butter, milk, and vanilla sugar in a separate bowl.
  2. Mix until you have a delicious, nutty filling.


  1. Press two-thirds of the dough into a baking dish to form the base.
  2. Spread a layer of Nutella over the dough.
  3. Evenly distribute the hazelnut filling on top.
  4. Crumble the remaining dough over the filling.

Baking:Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, approximately 20 minutes.

Finishing Touch:Once cooled, melt some chocolate and drizzle it over the top for an extra touch of decadence.
