Fluffy and Soft Rolls
Ingredients
- For the Dough:
- 1 packet Active Dry Yeast
- 1 1/4 cups lukewarm Milk (300ml)
- 2 tablespoons Butter
- 2/3 cup lukewarm Water (150ml)
- 1 teaspoon Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- Approximately 4 1/4 to 4 2/3 cups Flour (650-700g)
- For the Filling:
- 1/2 cup Heavy Cream (100ml)
- 1 1/4 cups ground Pistachios (180g)
- 1 cup Cream Cheese (200g)
- 2 tablespoons Powdered Sugar
- For Brushing:
- 1 Egg Yolk mixed with a bit of Milk
- For Dusting:
- Powdered Sugar
Instructions
Baking Time:
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F), and bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes with both upper and lower heat.
- Dissolve the yeast in lukewarm milk, add butter, water, sugar, and salt. Gradually mix in the flour until you have a soft dough.
- Knead the dough for about 8-10 minutes until smooth, cover, and let it rise until doubled in size.
- Meanwhile, prepare the filling by mixing heavy cream, ground pistachios, cream cheese, and powdered sugar.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread the filling, and roll it up.
- Cut into slices, place on a baking sheet, and let rise for another 15-20 minutes.
- Brush with the egg yolk and milk mixture.
- Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown.
- Once cooled, dust with powdered sugar.
