Napoleon Cake with Custard

No Bake Napoleon Cake with Custard

Ingredients

  • FOR THE CUSTARD:
  • ✔️800 ml milk
  • ✔️1/3 cup sugar (or more)
  • ✔️3 egg yolks
  • ✔️2 x 40 g vanilla pudding powder
  • ✔️2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • ✔️200 g butter, room temperature
  • ADDITIONALLY:
  • ✅ Ladyfinger cookies

Instructions

    📝 Heat 500 ml of milk with sugar until boiling.
    ☑️ In the remaining milk, dissolve the sifted flour with pudding powder.
    ☑️ Add egg yolks and mix well.
    👉 Pour into the hot milk and stir until you get a thick custard.
    ☑️ Remove from the heat and let it cool covered with plastic wrap.
    ☑️ Beat the butter and gradually add the custard (one spoonful at a time).
    👉 Line a pan with plastic wrap.
    ☑️ Arrange ladyfinger cookies on the bottom and spread half of the custard, repeat the process.
    ☑️ Sprinkle crushed cookies on top.
    ☑️ Chill in the refrigerator for a few hours
