Heavenly Cinnamon Rolls
Ingredients
- 1 cup (250ml) milk
- 1/4 cup (50g) sugar
- 1/2 cube of yeast
- 3 1/2 cups (450g) flour
- 1/3 cup (80g) softened butter
- 1/2 cup (100g) softened butter (for filling)
- 1/2 cup (100g) brown sugar (for filling)
- 3 tablespoons cinnamon (for filling)
- 3 packets vanilla sugar (for filling)
- 4 ounces (120g) cream cheese (for frosting)
- 2/3 cup (80g) powdered sugar (for frosting)
- 3 tablespoons softened butter (for frosting)
- Splash of vanilla extract (for frosting)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the milk, sugar, and yeast. Gradually add the flour, then mix in the softened butter until a soft dough forms.
- For the filling, mix together the softened butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla sugar until well combined.
- Roll out the dough thinly and spread the filling mixture evenly over it. Roll up the dough tightly and slice it into rolls.
- Place the rolls in a greased muffin tin and let them rise for at least 20 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Bake the rolls for about 35 minutes or until golden brown.
- While the rolls are baking, prepare the cream cheese frosting by mixing the cream cheese, powdered sugar, softened butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Once the rolls are done and cooled, generously spread the cream cheese frosting on top.
- Serve and enjoy these delicious Cinnamon Rolls!
