Creamy Cheesecake with Caramel Topping and Crushed Meringues

Ingredients

  • for the crust:
  • 1 cup of flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons of cocoa powder
  • 1/3 cup of sugar
  • 100 grams of butter
  • 1 egg
  • Optionally, 2 tablespoons of water
  • Ingredients for the creamy cheesecake filling:
  • 1 kg of cream cheese
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/3 cup of sugar
  • 100 grams of butter
  • 1 packet of pudding powder
  • Additional ingredients:
  • Caramel topping
  • Crushed meringues

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 170°C (340°F).
  2. Prepare the crust: In a bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, cocoa powder, sugar, butter, and egg until a smooth dough forms. Add water if needed. Press the mixture into the bottom of a pan.
  3. For the cheesecake filling: Melt the butter and let it cool. In another bowl, beat the eggs with sugar until light and fluffy. Gradually add the melted butter, then mix in the cream cheese and pudding powder until well combined.
  4. Pour the cheesecake mixture over the crust in the pan.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 75 minutes, until golden brown and set. Avoid opening the oven during baking.
  6. Once baked, let the cheesecake cool with the oven door slightly ajar.
  7. After cooling, drizzle caramel topping over the top and sprinkle with crushed meringues.
