Ingredients

  • For the Cream:
  • 1 cup (250g) Mascarpone
  • 1 cup (200ml) heavy cream
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 1 packet whipped cream stabilizer (Sahnesteif)
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • Additional:
  • 6 puff pastry sheets
  • Sliced almonds
  • 1 egg yolk, beaten with a little milk for brushing
  • Pistachios and chocolate sprinkles for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (356°F).
  2. In a bowl, mix together mascarpone, heavy cream, vanilla sugar, whipped cream stabilizer, and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
  3. Lay out the puff pastry sheets and spread the cream mixture evenly over them.
  4. Sprinkle sliced almonds on top of the cream-covered puff pastry sheets.
  5. Roll each sheet into a log and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Brush the rolled pastry with the egg yolk and milk mixture for a golden finish.
  7. Decorate with chopped pistachios and chocolate sprinkles.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 25 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown and crispy.
  9. Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing.
