Delicious Apple Crisp


  • 2 Granny Smith green apples
  • 1 tablespoon flour (10g.)
  • 1/4 cup sugar (60g.)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (15g.)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Pinch of nutmeg
  • Combine and let sit for 15 mins
  • Topping:
  • 1/2 cup oats (50g.)
  • 1/2 cup flour (70g.)
  • 1/4 cup sugar (60g.)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup melted butter (60g.)
  • Ice cream for serving


1. Preparing the Filling:

  • Peel and slice the Granny Smith apples.
  • In a bowl, combine the sliced apples with 1 tablespoon of flour, 1/4 cup of sugar, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, cinnamon, and a pinch of nutmeg.
  • Mix well until the apples are evenly coated.
  • Let the mixture sit for about 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

2. Making the Topping:

  • In another bowl, combine 1/2 cup of oats, 1/2 cup of flour, 1/4 cup of sugar, and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon.
  • Pour in the melted butter and mix until the ingredients are crumbly and well combined.

3. Assembling and Baking:

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).
  • Grease a baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
  • Spread the apple filling evenly in the bottom of the dish.
  • Sprinkle the oat topping over the apple mixture, covering it completely.
  • Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 20 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender.
  • Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool slightly.
  • Serve the apple crisp warm with a scoop of ice cream on top.
