Cookies and Cream Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour (about 310g)
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 3/4 cup of softened butter (about 170g)
  • 3/4 cup of light brown sugar (about 200g)
  • 1/3 cup of white sugar (about 75g)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 large egg yolk, at room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 5 ounces of Cookies and Cream chocolate (about 150g)
  • 1/2 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips (about 75g)
  • 1 cup of chopped Oreo cookies (about 100g)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cornstarch, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, light brown sugar, and white sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract to the butter-sugar mixture, and beat until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
  6. Chop the Cookies and Cream chocolate into small pieces and gently fold it into the cookie dough along with the chocolate chips and chopped Oreo cookies.
  7. Use a cookie scoop or tablespoon to portion out the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each cookie.
  8. Flatten the dough slightly with your hands and shape them into rounds.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are set. Remember, baking time may vary depending on the size of your cookies.
  10. Once baked, remove the cookies from the oven and allow them to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  11. Enjoy your freshly baked Cookies and Cream Cookies with a glass of milk or your favorite hot beverage! 🥛☕️
