Yeast Rolls with Custard and Chocolate

Ingredients

  • 0.88 oz (25g) fresh yeast
  • 1 cup (250ml) warm milk
  • 4 cups (500g) all-purpose flour
  • 0.26 cups (60g) sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 0.22 cups (50g) melted butter
  • 1 vanilla custard
  • 1.76 oz (50g) chocolate chips
  • 1 egg for brushing the top

Instructions

  1. In a cup, crumble the yeast, add a tablespoon of sugar and flour, pour in 0.53 cups (125 ml) of warm milk, and let it sit for 15 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, sift the flour, add sugar, egg, egg yolks, the risen yeast mixture, and melted butter. Knead into a smooth dough. Let it rise for an hour.
  3. Roll out the dough into a rectangle.
  4. Spread cooked and cooled custard and sprinkle with chocolate chips in the middle.
  5. Roll it into a log and cut into equal pieces.
  6. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and let them rest for 20 minutes.
  7. Before baking, brush with beaten egg.
  8. Preheat the oven to 356°F (180°C) and bake for 15-20 minutes.
