Sweet Milk Swiss Roll

I was craving this swiss roll after I had it on the flight back to SP! I wanted to make my version, and nailed it, haha! Did you like it too? Let’s get to the recipe!

Sweet Milk Swiss Roll

Sweet Milk Swiss Roll

Ingredients

  • For the sponge:
  • 5 eggs
  • 150g all-purpose flour
  • 150g sugar
  • Filling:
  • 150g sweet milk (or enough to form a thin layer)
  • Topping:
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

In a saucepan, add the sugar and eggs and whisk on low heat until the sugar dissolves (about 2 minutes). Immediately transfer to a stand mixer and, on high speed, beat until foamy. Then, on low speed or by hand, gradually add the flour. When the batter is smooth, transfer it to a swiss roll pan (mine is 35x20cm) lined with parchment paper and bake at 200 degrees Celsius for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Remove from the oven, let it cool slightly, and transfer the sponge to a damp towel with powdered sugar on top. Spread the sweet milk and roll immediately. Trim the ends and then sprinkle powdered sugar on top. Enjoy your meal!
