Banana and chocolate Donuts
Ingredients
- For the donuts:
- 1 mashed banana
- 1 large egg (55g)
- 1/3 cup of brown sugar (65g)
- 1/4 cup of plain yogurt (80g)
- 3 tablespoons of oil (45g)
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract (5g)
- 1 cup of all-purpose flour (150g)
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder (4g)
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda (2g)
- 1 teaspoon of salt (6g)
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon (3g)
- 1/3 cup of chocolate chips (65g)
- For the glaze:
- 100g of semi-sweet chocolate
- 2 tablespoons of butter (30g)
- 1 teaspoon of water (5g)
- Colorful sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a donut pan and set it aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed banana, egg, brown sugar, yogurt, oil, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
- Spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each mold about 2/3 full.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the donuts spring back when lightly touched and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Remove the donuts from the oven and allow them to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- While the donuts are cooling, prepare the glaze. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the semi-sweet chocolate and butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate and butter are melted and smooth. Stir in the water until well combined.
- Dip the cooled donuts into the chocolate glaze, allowing any excess glaze to drip off. Place them back on the wire rack and immediately sprinkle with colorful sprinkles.
- Let the glaze set before serving, and enjoy your delicious Banana Chocolate Donuts!
