  • 1/2 teaspoon (1g) salt
  • 6 tablespoons (85g) softened butter
  • 1/2 cup (100g) light brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons (35g) granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3g) vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup (75g) mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cornstarch, and salt until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter-sugar mixture, and beat until smooth and creamy.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  6. Gently fold in the mini chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.

  8. Flatten each dough ball slightly with the back of a spoon or your fingers.
  9. Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden brown.
  10. Remove from the oven and allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
