Mini Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups (205g) all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon (4g) baking soda
- 1 tablespoon (15g) cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon (1g) salt
- 6 tablespoons (85g) softened butter
- 1/2 cup (100g) light brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons (35g) granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 teaspoon (3g) vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup (75g) mini chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cornstarch, and salt until well combined.
- In another bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter-sugar mixture, and beat until smooth and creamy.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- Gently fold in the mini chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
- Using a small cookie scoop or spoon, portion out the dough into small balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each cookie.
- Flatten each dough ball slightly with the back of a spoon or your fingers.
- Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
