Ingredients

  • For the dough:
  • 1 cup (250g) softened butter
  • 1/2 cup (100ml) oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup (120g) powdered sugar
  • a splash of vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 4 cups (500g) all-purpose flour
  • You'll also need:
  • Piping bag
  • French star tip
  • Some melted chocolate for decoration

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, oil, eggs, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  2. Add the baking powder and gradually mix in the flour until a smooth dough forms.
  3. Transfer the dough into a piping bag fitted with a French star tip.
  4. Pipe the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, forming your desired shapes for the cookies.
  5. Bake the cookies in a preheated oven at 170°C (340°F) on the upper and lower heat setting for about 5 minutes, or until they are lightly golden.
  6. Once baked, remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on a wire rack.
  7. Once cooled, decorate the cookies by drizzling melted chocolate over them using a spoon or piping bag.
  8. Allow the chocolate to set before serving or storing the cookies. Enjoy your delicious spritz cookies!
