Spritz Cookies
Ingredients
- For the dough:
- 1 cup (250g) softened butter
- 1/2 cup (100ml) oil
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup (120g) powdered sugar
- a splash of vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 4 cups (500g) all-purpose flour
- You'll also need:
- Piping bag
- French star tip
- Some melted chocolate for decoration
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, oil, eggs, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Add the baking powder and gradually mix in the flour until a smooth dough forms.
- Transfer the dough into a piping bag fitted with a French star tip.
- Pipe the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, forming your desired shapes for the cookies.
- Bake the cookies in a preheated oven at 170°C (340°F) on the upper and lower heat setting for about 5 minutes, or until they are lightly golden.
- Once baked, remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on a wire rack.
- Once cooled, decorate the cookies by drizzling melted chocolate over them using a spoon or piping bag.
- Allow the chocolate to set before serving or storing the cookies. Enjoy your delicious spritz cookies!
