Ice Cream Sandwiches
Ingredients
- For the chocolate tops:
- 1 box of chocolate cake mix
- Ingredients listed on the cake mix box
- For the ice cream:
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream (>35% fat)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
- Utensils:
- Square mold
- Parchment paper or plastic wrap
- Sharp knife
Instructions
- Prepare the chocolate cake mix according to the instructions on the box.
- Pour the cake batter into a square mold lined with parchment paper or plastic wrap.
- Bake the cake according to the instructions and let it cool completely.
- While the cake is cooling, whip the heavy cream and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold in the sweetened condensed milk until well combined.
- Once the cake has cooled, spread the ice cream mixture evenly over the top.
- Place another layer of cake on top of the ice cream and press down gently.
- Cover the mold with plastic wrap and freeze for at least 4 hours, or until the ice cream is firm.
- Remove the mold from the freezer and carefully lift out the ice cream sandwich.
- Use a sharp knife to cut the sandwich into individual portions.
- Serve and enjoy these delicious homemade ice cream sandwiches!
