Ice Cream Sandwiches

Ingredients

  • For the chocolate tops:
  • 1 box of chocolate cake mix
  • Ingredients listed on the cake mix box
  • For the ice cream:
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream (>35% fat)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • Utensils:
  • Square mold
  • Parchment paper or plastic wrap
  • Sharp knife

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chocolate cake mix according to the instructions on the box.
  2. Pour the cake batter into a square mold lined with parchment paper or plastic wrap.
  3. Bake the cake according to the instructions and let it cool completely.
  4. While the cake is cooling, whip the heavy cream and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
  5. Gently fold in the sweetened condensed milk until well combined.
  6. Once the cake has cooled, spread the ice cream mixture evenly over the top.
  7. Place another layer of cake on top of the ice cream and press down gently.
  8. Cover the mold with plastic wrap and freeze for at least 4 hours, or until the ice cream is firm.
  9. Remove the mold from the freezer and carefully lift out the ice cream sandwich.
  10. Use a sharp knife to cut the sandwich into individual portions.
  11. Serve and enjoy these delicious homemade ice cream sandwiches!
