Ingredients

  • 1 cup (250g) softened butter
  • 1/2 cup (100ml) oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup (120g) powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons instant coffee
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 4 cups (500g) all-purpose flour
  • Additional:
  • Piping bag
  • French star tip
  • Some melted chocolate

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 340°F (170°C) on the upper and lower heat setting.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, oil, eggs, powdered sugar, instant coffee, and baking powder until smooth.
  3. Gradually add the flour to the mixture, stirring until well combined and a soft dough forms.
  4. Fill a piping bag fitted with a French star tip with the dough.
  5. Pipe the dough onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper, forming cookie shapes of your choice.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 5 minutes, or until the cookies are lightly golden.
  7. Allow the cookies to cool completely on a wire rack.
  8. Drizzle some melted chocolate over the cooled cookies for extra flavor and decoration.
  9. Enjoy your delicious spritz cookies with a cup of coffee or tea!
