Indulgent Dulce de Leche Cake
Ingredients
- 1 cup or 2 sticks of butter (226g)
- 1 cup of sugar (200g)
- 2 tablespoons of vanilla extract (30g)
- 4 large eggs
- 1/2 cup of Greek yogurt or sour cream (120g)
- 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour (180g)
- 1 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 can of Dulce de Leche
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x9 inch baking pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time, until well combined.
- Stir in the Greek yogurt or sour cream until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
- Drop spoonfuls of Dulce de Leche over the batter.
- Pour the remaining batter over the Dulce de Leche layer and smooth the top with a spatula.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once cooled, slice and serve. Enjoy the rich and flavorful Dulce de Leche cake!
