homemade Cinnamon Rolls

  • For the dough, you'll need:
  • 2 packets of dry yeast
  • 3/4 cup warm milk
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 2 egg whites {save the yolks for brushing}
  • about 7 to 7 1/2 cups of flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • For brushing: 1/2 cup melted butter
  • For the glaze: 1 1/4 cups powdered sugar, 3-4 tablespoons milk
  • \Also: Cinnamon/sugar mix

First, let's make the dough: Mix yeast, warm milk, warm water, sugar, oil, melted butter, egg whites, flour, and salt until it forms a dough. Knead it until it's smooth. Let it rise until it's doubled in size, about an hour.

Roll out the dough into a rectangle, then spread melted butter on top and sprinkle with cinnamon/sugar mix. Roll it up tightly, then cut into slices. Place the slices in a greased baking dish and let them rise again for about 30 minutes.

Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes until they're golden brown.

While they bake, make the glaze: Mix powdered sugar and milk until smooth.

Once the rolls are out of the oven, drizzle the glaze over the top. Enjoy your freshly baked Cinnamon Rolls! 🥰
