  • 3/4 cup (200ml) heavy cream
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 8.8 oz (250g) mascarpone cheese
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon Nutella
  • 1/2 cup (100g) sugar
  • 7 oz (200g) milk chocolate or milk chocolate chips
  • Additionally: 8.8 oz (250g) ground Neapolitan wafers

For the cream:

  • Whip 2/3 cup (75g) whipped cream with 2/3 cup (150ml) milk until stiff peaks form, then fold in 5-6 tablespoons of ground Neapolitan wafers.

For decoration:

Neapolitan wafers to sprinkle on top.

  1. In a saucepan, combine the milk, heavy cream, vanilla sugar, mascarpone cheese, cornstarch, Nutella, and sugar. Whisk everything together until well combined.
  2. Place the saucepan over medium heat and cook the mixture, stirring constantly, until it thickens and comes to a gentle boil.
  3. Once the mixture has thickened, remove it from the heat and stir in the milk chocolate until it’s completely melted and smooth.
  4. In a separate bowl, whip the whipped cream with milk until stiff peaks form. Then gently fold in the ground Neapolitan wafers.
  5. To assemble the dessert, layer the chocolate mixture and the whipped cream mixture in serving glasses or bowls, starting with the chocolate mixture as the base.
  6. Repeat the layers until you reach the top of the glasses or bowls.
  7. Finally, sprinkle some ground Neapolitan wafers on top for decoration.
  8. Chill the desserts in the refrigerator for at least 1-2 hours before serving to allow them to set.
