Ingredients:
For the Cake:
- 6 separated Eggs
- 200g Sugar
- 100g Flour
- 50g Cocoa Powder
- 50g Starch
- 1 packet Baking Powder
- 6 tablespoons Water
Preparation:
- Whip it Up: Separate the eggs and whip the egg whites with sugar until fluffy, approximately 8 minutes. In another bowl, mix egg yolks with water and gently fold them into the egg white mixture.
- Dry Ingredients Meet Wet: In a separate bowl, mix all the dry ingredients and sift them into the egg mixture. Gently fold everything together. Pour the batter into a 26cm baking pan, smooth it out, and bake in a preheated oven at 160°C (320°F) for about 45 minutes. Don’t forget the toothpick test!
For Soaking:
- 200ml Milk
- 1 tablespoon Cocoa Powder
- 1 packet Vanillin Sugar {Heat briefly and spread over the lukewarm cake}
For the Cream:
- 600ml Milk
- 200ml Cream
- 200g Sugar
- 1 packet Vanillin Sugar or Vanilla Extract
- 80g Cornstarch {Cook into a pudding}
- 300g Mascarpone {Quickly stir it in and set aside}
Assembly: Coat the cake with the cream mixture, consistently soaking each layer of the cake. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours or overnight for best results. Enjoy your delightful Chocolate Vanilla Slice! 🍰
