Chocolate and Orange Tart

Chocolate and Orange Tart

Ingredients

  • Crust:
  • 200g toasted almonds
  • 60g dates
  • 40g coconut oil
  • Crush and shape the crust and walls, then set aside.
  • Filling:
  • 240g chopped dark chocolate
  • 500g hot coconut milk

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Crust:
  2. Crush the toasted almonds and dates in a food processor until finely ground.
  3. Add the coconut oil and continue to process until well combined.
  4. Press the mixture firmly into the base and sides of a tart mold to form the crust. Set aside.
  5. Make the Filling:
  6. In a heatproof bowl, combine the chopped dark chocolate and hot coconut milk.
  7. Add the zest of two oranges to the mixture.
  8. Stir until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
  9. Pour the filling into the prepared crust in the tart mold.
  10. Chill the Tart:
  11. Refrigerate the tart for at least 4 hours, or until the filling is set.
  12. Finish with Maldon®️ Salt Flakes:
  13. Before serving, sprinkle Maldon®️ Salt Flakes @salmaldon.oficial over the top of the tart for a finishing touch.
  14. Optionally, garnish with additional orange zest.
