Silky Custard Delight with Marie Cookies

Ingredients

  • 5 egg yolks
  • 500g milk or plant-based milk
  • 30g sweetener of your choice (use this amount for granulated sweeteners like erythritol, a bit more for date paste, and 50% more for inulin)
  • 20g cornstarch
  • Cinnamon and vanilla to taste
  • Maria cookies

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients except the cookies in a saucepan and mix while cold.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it starts to thicken.
  3. Transfer to glasses, add the cookies, and refrigerate.
