Ingredients

  • For the cookies:
  • 300g all-purpose flour
  • 200g softened butter
  • 70g sugar
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 1 egg
  • For the caramel filling:
  • 200g caramel candies
  • 30ml 30% cream
  • 40g butter
  • For the chocolate drizzle:
  • 80g milk chocolate
  • 15ml 30% cream

Instructions

  1. Cream together the softened butter, sugar, and vanilla sugar.
  2. Beat in the egg until well combined.
  3. Sift in the flour and mix until a dough forms, then knead the dough by hand.
  4. Chill the dough in the fridge for 5 minutes.
  5. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut out circles using a glass with a diameter of about 7cm.
  6. Cut smaller holes in the center of half of the circles to create rings.
  7. Place the rings on top of the whole circles and bake at 170°C for 15-20 minutes.
  8. While the cookies are baking, melt together the caramel candies, cream, and butter in a saucepan over low heat until smooth.
  9. Be careful not to let it burn. Once melted, fill the holes in the cookies with the caramel mixture and chill in the fridge for about an hour.
  10. After chilling, drizzle melted chocolate mixed with cream over the cookies and chill again until the chocolate sets.
