  • For the Dough:
  • 1 cup (250g) soft butter
  • 1 cup (200g) sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 1 cup (80g) ground walnuts
  • 2 3/4 cups (350g) all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • A splash of vanilla extract
  • Additionally:
  • Brown sugar
  • Cinnamon for sprinkling

    Baking Time:
Approximately 40 minutes in a preheated oven at 170°C (340°F) on both upper and lower heat.

    Cream Butter and Sugar:
In a bowl, cream together 1 cup of soft butter and 1 cup of sugar until it's nice and creamy.

  1. Add Eggs:
Incorporate 4 eggs into the mix, and beat for around 4 minutes until well combined.
  2. Gradually Add Ingredients:
Gradually add the remaining ingredients—1 packet of baking powder, 1 cup of ground walnuts, 2 3/4 cups of all-purpose flour, 3 tablespoons of milk, and a splash of vanilla extract. Keep beating until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  3. Prepare the Pan and Arrange Apples:
Grease a 10-inch (26cm) baking pan. Pour the batter into the pan, smoothing it out. Arrange sliced apples on top.
  4. Sprinkle with Goodness:
Sprinkle a handful of walnuts and a generous dash of cinnamon over the apples.
  5. Bake to Perfection:
Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C (340°F) for about 40 minutes. Check for doneness with a toothpick—it should come out clean.
  6. Enjoy the Delight:
Once baked to perfection, let it cool. Slice into this deliciously soft and flavorful apple cake. Give it a try - it's a treat!
