Super Soft and Delicious Chocolate Cake
Ingredients
- 3 whole eggs
- 1 and 1/2 cups of water
- 1 cup of cocoa powder
- 1 and 1/2 cups of sugar
- 1 cup of mayonnaise
- 2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- For the glaze:
- 6 tablespoons of sugar
- 4 tablespoons of butter
- 8 tablespoons of cocoa powder
- 4 tablespoons of milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the eggs until fluffy. Then add the water, cocoa powder, sugar, and mayonnaise. Mix until well combined.
- Gradually add the flour, baking soda, and baking powder to the mixture. Mix until smooth and well incorporated.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- While the cake is baking, prepare the glaze. In a saucepan, combine the sugar, butter, cocoa powder, and milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture comes to a boil. Let it boil for about 1 minute, then remove from heat.
- Once the cake is done baking, remove it from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes.
- Pour the warm glaze over the warm cake, spreading it evenly.
