Quick and Easy Crumbly Plum Cake

Ingredients

  • About 2 cups of all-purpose flour (about 300 g - I used half whole wheat)
  • 200 g of butter
  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup of sugar
  • 800 g of plums

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the flour with the baking powder and sugar.
  2. Add the egg and diced butter.
  3. Knead everything into a smooth dough, form a ball, and refrigerate for 20 minutes.
  4. After 20 minutes, take the dough out of the fridge and divide it into two parts.
  5. Roll out one part into a disk and line the bottom of the pan, pressing it up about 1 cm on the sides.
  6. Arrange the pieces of chopped plums on the dough.
  7. Cover with the second rolled-out portion of dough.
  8. Bake at 180 degrees Celsius for about 50-55 minutes.
