Ingredients

  • For the Strawberry Jam:
  • 1 cup of frozen strawberries (100g)
  • 1/4 cup of white sugar (60g)
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice (15g)
  • 1 tablespoon of cornstarch (10g)
  • For the Chantilly Cream:
  • 1 cup of heavy cream (> 35% fat content)
  • 1/4 cup of powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • For Assembly:
  • Yellow cake mix

Instructions

  1. Let's start by making the strawberry jam. In a saucepan, combine the frozen strawberries, white sugar, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the strawberries break down and the mixture thickens, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside to cool.
  2. While the jam cools, prepare the chantilly cream. In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, then continue whipping until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
  3. Prepare the yellow cake mix according to package instructions. Once baked and cooled, crumble the cake into small pieces.
  4. Now it's time to assemble the cups. Start by spooning a layer of strawberry jam into the bottom of each serving glass.
  5. Next, add a layer of chantilly cream on top of the strawberry jam.
  6. Sprinkle a generous amount of crumbled yellow cake over the cream layer.
  7. Repeat the layers until the glasses are filled, ending with a dollop of chantilly cream on top.
  8. Garnish with fresh strawberries or any other toppings you like.
  9. Chill the strawberry cream cups in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
  10. Once chilled, grab a spoon and enjoy these delightful strawberry cream cups! They're perfect for any occasion and sure to impress your guests.
