Ingredients

  • For the Red Velvet Brownie layer:
  • 1 cup (225g) melted butter
  • 3/4 cup (75g) cocoa powder
  • 1 cup (200g) brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup (80g) white sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon (15g) vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring
  • 1 cup (135g) all-purpose flour
  • For the Cheesecake layer:
  • 1 package (8 ounces or 220g) cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup (60g) sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon (5g) vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
  2. Prepare the Brownie layer:
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, cocoa powder, brown sugar, and white sugar.
  4. Mix in the eggs and vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Add the red food coloring and mix until the batter is evenly colored.
  6. Gradually stir in the flour until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  7. Spread the brownie batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.
  8. Prepare the Cheesecake layer:
  9. In another mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth.
  10. Add the sugar, egg, and vanilla extract, and beat until creamy and well combined.
  11. Pour the cheesecake mixture over the brownie batter in the pan.
  12. Use a knife or spatula to swirl the cheesecake mixture into the brownie batter, creating a marbled effect.
  13. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is slightly jiggly.
  14. Remove from the oven and let cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.
