Orange Upside-Down Cake
Ingredients
- Topping:
- 1/4 cup melted butter (60g)
- 1/3 cup brown sugar (83g)
- 2 Oranges, sliced
- Cake:
- 1 1/2 cups flour (210g)
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder (6g)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (5g)
- 6 tablespoons butter (90g)
- 1 cup Condensed Milk (300g)
- 1/3 cup sour cream (85g)
- 2 egg whites (70g)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (5g)
- 1/4 cup orange juice (60g)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
- In a baking pan, pour the melted butter and sprinkle brown sugar evenly over the bottom. Arrange the orange slices over the sugar and set aside.
- In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat together the butter and condensed milk. Add the sour cream, vanilla, egg whites, and orange juice, and beat until smooth.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, beating until no lumps remain.
- Pour the batter over the prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes at 350°F (180°C) or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for about 30 minutes before flipping.
- Serve and enjoy!
