Easy & Delicious Donuts

Ingredients

  • 4 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 🍩 1 cup of milk
  • 🍩 1.4 ounces of fresh yeast
  • 🍩 4 egg yolks (plus 1 beaten egg for brushing before baking)
  • 🍩 6 tablespoons of sugar
  • 🍩 5 tablespoons of melted butter
  • For the icing: powdered sugar, milk, and cocoa powder
  • 👉 For the filling: jam and chocolate pudding

Instructions

First, prepare the starter by mixing warm milk, yeast, a teaspoon of sugar, and a tablespoon of flour, cover, and set aside in a warm place for about 20 minutes.
👉 Beat the egg yolks with sugar until fluffy and white. Then combine the risen starter with flour, egg yolk mixture. Finally, add melted butter and knead until you get a uniform dough that doesn't stick to your hands.
👉 Cover the dough and let it rise for about 1 hour until it doubles in size.
👉 Place the dough on a floured surface, sprinkle some flour on top, and roll it out to a thickness of about 0.5 to 1 cm. ◾️ Cut out circles using a glass.
👉 Place the prepared donuts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and let them sit for 10 minutes.
👉 Brush the risen donuts with beaten egg.
❗️ Bake in a preheated oven at 170 degrees Celsius for about 17-20 minutes (until lightly browned).
‼️ While still warm, fill them with jam and previously cooked pudding. I use a pastry bag with a long tip for filling.
