Best Moist Chocolate Cake
Ingredients
- For the Cake Batter:
- 4 eggs (at room temperature)
- 3/4 cup sugar (150g)
- 2/3 cup milk (150ml)
- 2/3 cup oil (150ml)
- 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1 packet baking powder
- 2 cups all-purpose flour (250g)
- 1 packet vanilla sugar
- For the Sauce:
- 2 cups milk (500ml)
- 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/2 cup sugar (100g)
- 1/2 cup oil (100ml)
- 3.5 ounces dark chocolate (100g)
- Baking Time:
- In a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F), bake for approximately 25 minutes.
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together eggs and sugar until creamy.
- Add milk and oil to the mixture, stirring well.
- Incorporate cocoa powder, baking powder, flour, and vanilla sugar into the batter. Mix until smooth.
- Pour the batter into a greased and floured baking pan.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- While the cake is baking, prepare the sauce. In a saucepan, combine milk, cocoa powder, cornstarch, sugar, and oil. Heat over medium heat until it thickens.
- Remove the saucepan from heat, add chopped dark chocolate, and stir until smooth.
- Once the cake is done, let it cool slightly, then pour the chocolate sauce over it.
- Allow the cake to absorb the sauce, and it's ready to be enjoyed!
