Lazy Honeycake
Ingredients
- For the layers:
- 3-4 tablespoons of honey
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda
- 100 grams of melted butter
- 4 eggs
- 100 grams of sugar
- 200 grams of flour⠀
- For the cream:
- 400-500 ml of 25% sour cream
- 150 grams of powdered sugar
Instructions
- Prepare the Batter: In a mixing bowl, combine 3-4 tablespoons of honey, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, 100 grams of melted butter, 4 eggs, 100 grams of sugar, and 200 grams of flour. Mix until you get a smooth batter.
- Adjust Consistency: If the batter seems too thick, feel free to add a splash of milk to achieve the desired consistency.
- Cook the Layers: Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Pour a ladleful of batter onto the pan and spread it evenly to form a thin layer. Cook each layer for a few minutes on each side until lightly golden. Repeat this process until all the batter is used up.
- Make the Cream: While the layers are cooling, prepare the cream by mixing 400-500 ml of 25% sour cream with 150 grams of powdered sugar until smooth.
- Assemble the Cake: Once the layers are completely cooled, spread a generous amount of cream between each layer, stacking them on top of each other.
- Chill and Serve: Refrigerate the assembled cake for at least an hour to allow the flavors to meld together. Then, slice and serve!
