Apple and Cinnamon Cake
Ingredients
- 3 cups (375g) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon (5g) baking soda
- 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon grated nutmeg
- 1 cup (240g) sunflower oil
- 1/2 cup (120g) plain yogurt or sour cream
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup (100g) brown sugar
- 1/2 cup (150g) white sugar
- 2 Granny Smith apples
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- In another bowl, whisk together the oil, yogurt or sour cream, eggs, and both sugars until well combined.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Peel and dice the apples, then fold them into the batter.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking pan.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool before slicing and serving.
