Peppermint KitKat Brownies
Ingredients:
- 1 cup (225g) melted butter
- 3/4 cup (77g) cocoa powder
- 3 large eggs
- 2 tbsp coffee (30g)
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract (15g)
- 1 cup (200g) white sugar
- 1 cup (200g) brown sugar
- 1 cup (150g) all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp (6g) salt
- Cubed semi-sweet chocolate (100g)
- 6 KitKat® Santa bars (174g)
- Crushed peppermint candies
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
- Melt the butter in a saucepan. While it’s still warm, pour it into a bowl and mix in the cocoa powder. Let it sit for 1 minute.
- Combine the butter-cocoa mixture with eggs, coffee, and vanilla extract. Stir vigorously. Add white and brown sugar, and mix until well combined.
- Gently fold in the flour and salt. Add the cubed chocolate and mix it into the batter.
- Pour the batter into a parchment-lined baking pan and bake for 35-40 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool to room temperature.
- Place the KitKat® Santa bars on top of the brownies, pressing them down to adhere to the surface. Sprinkle with crushed peppermint candies and refrigerate for 3 hours.
- Cut into squares and enjoy the delightful combination of chocolate and peppermint!
