Vanilla sponge cake
Ingredients
- Softened Butter, 1 cup (240g)
- Sugar, 1 cup (240g)
- Eggs, 4
- Vanilla Extract, 1 tsp
- All-Purpose Flour, 2 cups (240g)
- Baking Powder, 1 tbsp
- Salt, a pinch
- Milk, 1/2 cup
Instructions
- In a bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar. Then, add the eggs one by one, continuously beating. Mix in the vanilla extract.
- It's time to add the dry ingredients. Start with the sifted flour, followed by the baking powder and salt.
- Finally, add the milk and mix until smooth.
- Pour the batter into two 7-inch pans, greased and lined with parchment paper at the bottom. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 40 minutes.
- Unmold and cut horizontally into two layers. Enjoy your baking!
