Stuffed Date Chocolate Bonbons
Ingredients
- 20 seedless dates
- 3/4 cup of peanut or almond butter
- 2 bars of dark chocolate (50%-70% cocoa) (200g.)
- Toppings: peanuts, almonds, shredded coconut, etc.
Instructions
- Start by slicing each date lengthwise and removing the pit, creating a small cavity in the center.
- Fill each date with a generous amount of peanut or almond butter, using a small spoon or your fingers to press it in.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the dark chocolate in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth and fully melted.
- Dip each stuffed date into the melted chocolate, ensuring it is fully coated. Use a fork or a chocolate dipping tool to lift the date out of the chocolate, allowing any excess to drip off.
- Place the chocolate-coated dates on a parchment-lined baking sheet or plate.
- While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle your desired toppings over the bonbons. You can use chopped peanuts, almonds, shredded coconut, or any other toppings you like.
- Once all the dates are coated and topped, place the baking sheet or plate in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes, or until the chocolate has set.
