Cinnamon Rolls
Ingredients
- For the Dough:
- 500g all-purpose flour
- 50g sugar
- 15g powdered milk
- 300ml water
- 10g dry yeast
- 10g salt
- 60g unsalted butter
- For the Filling:
- 60g softened butter
- 100g brown sugar
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
- For the Frosting:
- 55g butter
- 120g powdered sugar
- 4 tbsp cream cheese
- 1 tbsp vanilla essence or seeds
Instructions
- In the mixer bowl, combine flour, sugar, powdered milk, and fresh yeast.
- Add water and mix on low speed to combine. Add salt and mix a bit more.
- Add butter and let it incorporate into the dough.
- Increase the mixer speed and let it beat until it reaches the "windowpane stage" (when gluten has developed).
- Remove the dough from the bowl, form a ball, cover, and let it rest.
- While it's resting, make the filling. Process butter, sugar, and cinnamon in a food processor until it turns into a paste. Set aside.
- After the first rise, roll out the dough, spread the filling paste, roll it up, and cut into equal pieces. Allow it to rise for another hour.
- Beat the frosting ingredients in the mixer and set aside.
- Bake for 25 minutes at 200 degrees Celsius or until golden brown.
- Spread the frosting, and voilà – enjoy your scrumptious Cinnamon Rolls!
