Ingredients

  • For the Cake:
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar (6%)
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • For the Cream:
  • 1 3/4 cups heavy cream (33%)
  • 3.5 ounces cream cheese
  • 2-3 tablespoons powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Start by beating the eggs with sugar until fluffy.
  2. Then, add in the baking soda, vinegar, honey, and mix until everything's smooth. Sift in the flour and gently mix until you get a smooth batter. Add cocoa powder and vanilla extract, mix again, and your batter is ready! ✅
  3. Divide the batter into 2 equal parts. Spread each part evenly on parchment paper and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) for 7-8 minutes. Keep an eye on it based on your oven's behavior.
  4. For the cream, whip together all the ingredients until smooth, and your cream is ready!
  5. Now, assemble the cake as shown in the video, and decorate as you like. I left mine in the fridge overnight and added frosting in the morning.
