Chocolate Checkerboard Cake with Cheese Filling

Ingredients

  • Chocolate Sponge:
  • 5 eggs
  • 220 g flour
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 120 ml oil
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 120 ml milk
  • 1/2 dark chocolate bar
  • Cheese Filling:
  • 500 g ground cheese
  • 1 packet of vanilla pudding mix
  • 70 g sugar
  • Additional:
  • Melted dark chocolate for drizzling

Instructions

Whisk eggs with sugar, then add oil, milk, melted chocolate, and continue whisking. Mix flour, baking powder, and cocoa, then add to the egg mixture. Mix briefly. Pour into a pan greased only with oil.

Mix cheese with pudding and sugar. Once combined, transfer to a piping bag, snip off the end, and pipe stripes vertically and horizontally over the batter to create a grid pattern or make dollops.

Bake at 180 degrees Celsius for 45 minutes. Enjoy!
