Apple Cake


  • Crumble Topping:
  • ✔ 175g granulated sugar
  • ✔ 200g self-rising flour
  • ✔ 100g cold butter, diced
  • Apples:
  • ✔ 8 green or red apples (your choice), peeled, cored, and sliced
  • ✔ 1 tbsp cinnamon (to taste)
  • ✔ Zest and juice of 1 lemon
  • ✔ 50g dried cranberries or raisins
  • Final Mix:
  • ✔ 500ml cold milk
  • ✔ 4 cold eggs, mixed with a fork


Preheat the oven to 170°C.

Butter and flour a deep baking tray.

In a bowl, mix the apples, lemon, cinnamon, cranberries, and walnuts.

In another bowl, place the butter, flour, and sugar, and crumble with your fingertips.

Sprinkle 30% of the crumble on the tray's base. Arrange all the apples on top and level them. Add the remaining crumble.

In a container, mix the milk with the eggs until well combined and pour it over the entire preparation. Don't worry if it doesn't absorb all at once; it takes time.

Bake for 60 minutes at 170°C. Once it's cool from the fridge, cut and enjoy!
